Taking "Me" Time


Life can be stressful, we all know that there are moments in our life where as much as we would want to rest and not do anything, we have to keep fighting, it's not easy getting where you want, we put ourselves under big amounts of pressure on our day to day life, which can really affect our health and performance, that's why people will always remind you how important is to take time off.
If you are used to being on the go all the time, working and working, this is not going to be easy to do.
When you are used to being so active  work wise, it's hard to image taking one day off a week to do this kind of thing,
Set time aside, as much work as you may have, you will always have those 5 minutes to an hour free, take those moments to do something that is going to take your mind of work and will help you relax, avoid thinking or doing any work,
Respect the weekends and family/friend days, how many times have you had to decline an invitation to a family gathering because you had to work? or even worst, how many times were you working while on a family reunion? Respect those days don't schedule anything, leave your phone and enjoy the company you have around yourself, taking a day off of work is something everyone needs to do.
Have some fresh air, go for a run or a walk, work out or even just enjoy a good book in the park, but leave the room or house, staying in the same place for a long time is no good for anyone, enjoy what's out there.
Treat yourself, get a haircut, take a bath, bake some cookies, do some crafts, do something you've been wanting to do for a long time, during that time enjoy yourself and the quietness of your own home, leave the problems behind and do something that you love.
Enjoy, take it as a rest, not as a task, not as something you have to do, enjoy the moment, you'll feel better after taking sometime off and you'll work better with a clear mind, the most important part about this is that you enjoy it, that you feel like you are finally doing something for yourself.
Stress can really affect your health, if you don't take of yourself no one would.
