Of the Bookshelf| November 9

Fallon knows pain, you can see it in her, she's ready to move on, to become someone on her own and make the next big step in her life, but it's not always as easy, just hours before boarding a plane that would be taking her across the country to her new life, she meets Ben and even though she doesn't know much about him, she's going to met him, the man that may change her life forever.
Ben is a writer with hopes and dreams, but don't let that good kid image fool you, he has secrets, a dark past that he can't let go until the truth is exposed, no one knows who they are, no one knows what's going to happen, the only thing they have it's a date and a place to meet back again.

What I liked:
  • The illusion: You barely know about the characters, you barely know what's going to happen and that let's you create an illusion of who they are, what have they done and every time you turn that page you get to know if you were right or not.
  • The plot twist: I know that for a lot of people this wasn't a surprise but for me, the way they changed the story plot multiple times made me enjoy it more and more, it made me get hooked on with the characters and want to read more and more.
What I didn't like:
  • The holes: There are various parts in which you don't get anything, the story goes to a sudden stop and it isn't until you go farther down that you get more, it confused me and irritated me a little bit.
  • The ending:  Too open, too cheesy, too predictable, yet with too many possibilities and open questions, too much of everything I've read before and after a good book it made feel like something was missing, something needed to filled in.
Overall it's a good book, one that catches your attention from the beginning and keeps you guessing of what's going to happen next. If you are a little bit impatient, don't go for it. If you like romantic with a twist, this one it's for you and you are going to enjoy it a lot.
