Of the Bookshelf| Happily Ever Ninja

Fiona has secrets, secrets that only her loving husband knows about, because on the outside she looks like a stay-at-home mother that takes care of her two kids while her husband travels around the world on new developments. They are a true loving couple, until they aren't when Greg starts suspecting Fiona may be a real life ninja, what they don't anticipate is that at some point those ninja skills will come handy when Greg tenacious personality gets him in trouble and the only way to get it out of them is by asking for help.
What I liked:

  • Unlike the other books there's more history that a couple getting to know each other, Greg and Fiona have a long history and two kids, they are going through a rough patch as the story begins, because even when they seem happy there are a few problems between this two.
  • The involvement the other characters of the series had. You get to see more than one relationship being fixed as it really creates bounds between many characters, most of which we haven't heard in this series.
  • Fiona's fiercess. There's a lot to say about her and there's a lot to love too, she's an amazing independent woman that's not scared to say what she thinks or go out her way to save her husband. She's the true heroine of this series.
What I didn't like:

  • Again, unlike any other book of the series you are faced with a different type of relationships and characters, you get to see this different side from Greg, a character I loved during the prequel as he puts himself in the most dangerous situation just so he can get the recognition he already has.
  • SPOILER. I hated the part of the rescue, you get to see this back and forward while they are trying to not get killed in the middle of an strange country, it was too much for me. I got so annoyed during that part that I wasn't able to really enjoy the book at is fullest.
It's a good book besides the one problem I had towards the middle of the story, but you get to see this powerful woman with such a humble spirit willing to do whatever she cans to support her husband and family, it's awesome, it's a true inspiration. For me it's a 3.5 out of 5.
