Marie is about to give up online dating when a terrible date happens, one she finds hard to forget and move on from, but that isn't necessary when her terrible date appears to be someone else and she finds a bigger connection to him than everyone else and being a journalist she gets a little tickle for information when he tells her why he went to the date on the first place.
What I liked:

  • Marie is one to love, she's a journalist that loves being adventurous and taking her work to a completely new level and when she starts getting involved with Matt we get to see this loving girl that isn't as clingy as other characters.
  • Matt is oddly one of my favourite "other part" of all the stories, Nico comes as a close second. He's so naive, so sweet, so caring that one either falls in love or gets annoyed. It's amazing to see them interact as Maries is quite open to the new and Matt loves what he has and doesn't see outside his comfort zone.
  • The way they grow their relationship is quite nice and organic, nothing is rushed, you see different sparks of love and the way they care for each other as the story goes on.
  • The story line was hilarious and quite realistic as you get to see modern journalism take place but also science and technology development. It was an amazing representation of two opposite jobs and how they can balance themselves.
What I didn't like:
  • The fallout was too much of the same, it was such a powerful story and then the fallout was like something that it's been done so many times in the past. Both characters deserved better to be honest.
  • (SPOILER) The "love-making" scene was kind of weird, it was something I don't see happening in real life but it's not that I didn't like it, I just found it too weird to fit real life.
This is my favourite book of the series so far, it was funny, emotional and interesting all at the same time, it captured the essence of each character perfectly and it gave them amazing backgrounds and amazing stories to look forward too. For me it's a 4.5 out of 5.
