Of the Bookshelf| Dear Jane

He messed up, he left her hanging when he needed him the most and now that he sees her again, he wonders what could've gone differently if he hadn't left. Maybe it was the hormones or maybe they needed to be apart, grow apart. But destiny likes to play games and working together, it doesn't matter if he's the best, he's going to have to work hard to get her back.
What I liked:

  • Jane's character was strong, independent and relatable. Her story line was interesting and I think it would make for a great book, telling her side of things and how she dealt with everything on the sidelines.
  • The romanticism and the cliche, as much as I would like to critize the lack of depth in some parts, I love a good romantic story where they both swish each other of off their feet.
What I didn't like:
  • Weston's story line at the beginning gave no room for empathy, he was a douchy, selfish teenager and even when it got better at the end of it, that image remained.
It's a light reading a true N/A novel and an enjoyable one, it doesn't have a lot of essence but for those days where you are looking for something to get your mind of off everything this is perfect. For me it's a 4 out of 5.
Mayte.
