Of the Bookshelf| The Hooker and The Hermit

Annie knows a lot a lot about the media socialite, but that doesn't mean she wants to be part of it, she's a silent social media expert that enjoys her job but not the attention. On the other hand Ronan lives in the spotlight, being the best hooker in the rugby league, but he despises media, he does everything to stay away from it, until an accident with one of his teammates draws attention to him and the only one that can save him is Annie, the one girl that has his attention, but then again, Annie has his own secrets.
What I liked:
  • How contrary the main characters were, because at first I had a hard time with the title but once you start reading and getting everything you get this sense of realisation and everything clicks.
  • Their relationship and how they manage to compliment each character and follow the storyline without any drastic changes, adding characters and involving the main ones that drove the story to that place.
  • The ending, even when it was a little bit too perfect, it was really suitable to the situation and made place for the next book in a really nice way.
What I didn't like:
  • The back and forth, mostly in the middle of the story, there was something mapped out for them and even when I know it makes a lot for the story, it also means you cannot get to the loveble part of the story just yet.
Overall a really good book, I had my laughs and giggles through it, I also wanted to punch more than one character as the story moved on but as always with L.H. Cosway it was an amazing sports/love story and for me it's a 4 out of 5.
