We've all been there, as soon as you wake up, you know it's not going to be a good day or something happens during that day that just makes you feel miserable, it happens even to the best of us. Bad things happen every day, it's up to you whether you stay like that or turn it around to smile again.
One thing I've learnt is that just because something bad happened, that doesn't mean your day has to go to waste, there are a million and one things you can do to brighten your day.
Change your sheets and clean your room, there's nothing more satisfying than going to bed with a set of fresh sheets in a clean room and this really helps to keep your mind out of trouble, prevents over thinking and personally I've found that a clean space helps a lot to put your ideas in order.
Write, there's something freeing about writing a letter about how you feel, it helps you take out the pain and you can either keep it, tore it apart or even burn it. There's something oddly satisfying in doing that or if you don't feel like writing call someone you are close with, tell them how you feel, ask them about their day, catch up, tell them what's new, share news. sometimes you just need to listen to a familiar voice to feel better.
Workout, endorphins make for happy people. have a little sweet and leave all the stress, pain or even anger that you may be carrying on your shoulders in that gym, park or wherever you like to work out or if you don't like working out walk it off, let your mind wander around while you walk and let yourself to let everything go.
But most importantly, don't take it our on anyone, just because you had a bad day that doesn't mean others are there to be blamed for your bad mood or something others caused, don't hold on to the problem, let it cool off and keep going, remember that everything has a solution and it's always up to you to find it or hold on to the bad.
Mayte.
