"Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer."
William S. Burroughs
We live in an era in which everything and everyone seems to go at a fast pace, there's never a time or moment to stop and sit back. Our minds get mumbled up with ideas, projects and dreams we wish to accomplish some day, causing us to stress over every single thing, and this can really led things to more than a headache.
We forget to live in the moment, we spend half our days reliving the past and its mistakes and the other half thinking about the uncertainty that the future brings, because we are told that in order to succeed in four or five years from now, you've got to work your ass off now, there will be time to rest later, right?
In reality, you've got enough to do everything you want and more, there's no need to burn yourself out so quickly, your mind also deserves a break from time to time. Focusing on work every minute of every day is not healthy for anyone
Think about it, think about how many times in a day you get a creative block or how many times you realise you've been staring at your computer screen without comprehending what's really in there because you are not focusing, your mind is beyond tired.
Take breaks, they are healthy and make you more productive. Pick an activity that you enjoy doing, like painting, walking, talking with a friend, working out, meditating, watching 30 minutes of your favourite T.V. show, reading, you name it, the choices are endless and there's something for everyone.
Let your mind wonder around for a moment.
