"The fun stuff comes when someone is not so strict on sticking to the script. You're allowed the spontaneity, and great moments can happen."Jennifer Aniston
I've preached about routines a lot in here and although I still believe they are essential to have a productive life/day, I also believe that there's a dark side to them, because sticking to one for too long can really cause unwanted effects on your creativity or even work.
It's easy to fall into a comfortable routine, do what you are supposed to, and you apply that rule that says "Don't mess with success. If it works, don't change it", but once you settle on it you stop living your life, you live through a well-thought schedule and live stops being exciting.
Routines are perfect if they work well for you, if you find one that really can help you organise everything that you've got to do, but don't settle on one for too long, once you start doing this you lose your ability to be spontaneous, to go out for the sake of it, to do what your heart tells you to do.
It evens sounds scary if you think about it, going without a plan, but you never know what it's going to happen, so you can either life a rather boring but comfortable life, or you can let go a little bit from time to time and really enjoy what's out there for you to enjoy either by yourself or with others.
Be as spontaneous as you want, start with little things like ordering something new in a new restaurant, it may be awful but at least you will know that's not what you will be ordering the next time, those little actions will lead to others that will be bigger.
Enjoy the time you've got there, do your thing but leave a little bit of time free for you to enjoy your life and what's out there, you may regret something, but at least you are going to have fun and learn about yourself.
